Baby Falak case: The Father Of Teenage Daughter Arrested

The father of a teenager who got a beaten two years admitted to AIIMS, and two others were arrested in New Delhi for allegedly abandoning and strength in prostitution, police said today.

The girl aged 15 has been in the news after she brought baby Falak, who was beaten by her at AIIMS for treatment by claiming she was his mother.

The girl had run away from home claiming that her father used to torture her physically. She fled with Rajkumar, who told the girl Falak two months ago.

"We have arrested three people -. His father, a woman who forced her into prostitution, they and another man were charged with various sections, including abandonment and strength in prostitution," a senior official police said. Rajkumar is still at large.

The Committee to Protect Children, which examines the case of the teenager who got the baby is admitted, said that the case should be filed against his father. Sources said the committee felt that the case should be filed against the father of the young person for cruelty and abuse.

He also suggested that a separate case must also be registered against four persons allegedly sexually abused the girl.

The committee said after talking to a counselor, the youth told them that his father was in prison for 8 years for the murder of her aunt and father, who was present at the hearing, he confirmed.

Investigators had identified earlier this week a crucial link and a woman named Lakshmi is questioned.

Falak baby was admitted to AIIMS with serious injuries and is facing life after the girl, who looked after her after her boyfriend left the girl with her, obtained her admission.

A senior police officer called for his daughter Munni came to Lakshmi's house in September last year saying that her husband has abandoned them. Lakshmi offered his stay in his house and worked as a maid.

The official said Munni from the house of Lakshmi after 20 days to leave the child there.

"Lakshmi then gave the child to which Manoj told the girl to Rajkumar, who lived with the girl who would beat the little girl," the official said.

Rajkumar would have taken the child into his home in November, but his wife refused to keep the child.

"It was during the time of Rajkumar met the girl. He then started living with the girl and baby. Mid-January, he left for Bombay to treat his son with physical challenges. The youth was taking care of the baby. It seems that she could not take care of the child and frustration that she had physically assaulted, "the official said.
