Peyton Manning Chose The Broncos

Score one - a big - for John Elway and the Denver Broncos.

Although not being a favorite at the opening of Peyton Manning Free-agency process, burst into Denver and stole the future Hall of Famer, as news came Monday that Manning decided to play for the Broncos and instructed his agent to begin negotations with the team. That news left the Titans, 49ers and others as spectators disappointed.

Manning moving from Indianapolis to Denver Broncos could make the team to beat in the AFC West, assuming Manning returns to full health before the season. Its current level of conditioning was one of the mysteries going on in this long-term, with conflicting reports on how far along he is in his rehab, how comfortable it is releasing the ball and so on.

Denver, rightly, is ready to take the risk.

A franchise that was looking for an elite quarter since Elway retired Elway himself needed to seal the deal Manning. Elway and Broncos brass met Manning at Durham, NC, on Friday to discuss the future of Manning.

At the time of this meeting, there was widespread belief that the Tennessee Titans had beaten Manning in the main competition, thanks in part to a hefty contract offer.

But the Broncos have adapted Tennessee offers - many of Manning should be worth $ 90 million-plus over five seasons, according to a report by Mike Klis of The Denver Post - giving Elway an opportunity to fill. And just as he did so many times throughout his legendary career, Elway did just that.

Moving in Denver brings with it a host of obstacles to Manning: A weak receiving corps, the weather conditions and a deadly 2012 calendar (including Texans, Saints, Ravens and Patriots), just to name a few.

However, the Broncos have managed to steal the AFC West and exit the Steelers in the playoffs last year, despite their problems.

The largest of these question marks came at quarterback, where Tim Tebow stepped in and helped transform Denver's memorable 2011 season around. Tebow even threw a touchdown in OT triumph over Pittsburgh series and looked about to enter next season as the Broncos No. 1 QB.

The arrival of Manning obviously changes all that. Denver seems ready to try to trade Tebow - if someone has an interest in the imperfect but exciting quarterback.

Elway supported Tebow at the end of the year and early this offseason, but even before the parade Manning, the Broncos were in the market for a veteran quarterback to step in and push Tebow in training camp.

Instead, Manning will probably push the player popular city.

Where and when Tebow will face the problem of Denver for another day. Currently, the Broncos have the right to celebrate the arrival of Manning, given the unlikelihood that this scenario play out.

It may take several months to enter Manning playing shape, and now Denver has to go to work around his new franchise player with more talent, but there is little doubt that the Broncos will consider a threat in the AFC.

"Manning Watch" is over. "Tebow Watch" has just begun. AFC West and would rather just shifted decisively in favor of Denver.

Ryan Clark Matt Flynn Signature: Nobody Wants To Go To The Dolphins

Now that the Seahawks have burst into (no pun intended) and signed Matt Flynn, the dolphins are facing what could become an extremely ugly. Objective of Miami during the offseason was to find viable starting fourth, and things were looking when they seemed to be the vanguard for Peyton Manning. Since the vessel sailed, and Flynn is no longer available, Miami would have been to negotiate with Alex Smith on the weekend, which may be upset that the 49ers have emerged as the "mystery" team that is interested in Manning. If Steelers safety Ryan Clark is right, the dolphins will not be able to sign Smith, either.

Clark also reminded his Twitter followers that he was refused money from the Dolphins in 2010 to stay with the Steelers, noting that "not a good guy making" in Miami. Clark is almost certainly referring to Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland, which quickly gained a reputation around the league a nasty person.

Last month, former Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder said he would never return to Miami, because Ireland is not a good person. Ireland also admitted that he asked Dez Bryant if his mother was a prostitute when Bryant came out of college. If Clark and Crowder are right, and the players really decided not to go to Miami, because in Ireland, the Dolphins would be wise to make changes to their front office.

Alex Smith Interview In Miami .... Is Tim Tebow next?

Alex Smith looked like the odd man in San Francisco. The Miami Dolphins and was one of the odd teams in the derby of Peyton Manning.

It sounded like a match made in heaven ... or at least one game on the Island of Misfit Toys.

While free-agent quarterback Smith was considering an offer of three years in San Francisco, the team that led the NFC championship game last season, the 49 members boarded a plane to North Carolina to see Manning work.

Meanwhile, Manning, told the Dolphins last week that they were no longer in the running of their services. Miami then made a run in the first backup Matt Flynn of Green Bay, who ended up signing with the Seattle Seahawks this past weekend.

All of which led to a 5 1/2-hour meeting between Smith and the Dolphins in the team's complex on Sunday.

Therefore, it had reached by both parties. After a great season with the 49ers, Smith is left with a team interview Manning rejected only if the former quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts had their work in San Francisco. And after achieving the best free-agent quarterbacks on the market, the Dolphins were looking at a player who can be bypassed by another team for Manning.

As it turns out, they may have interviewed the wrong guy, seeing that Manning has apparently chosen the Denver Broncos on the 49ers and Tennessee Titans. ESPN, which broke the news about Manning and the Broncos on Monday morning, also reports that the Broncos are likely to exchange their old starter, Tim Tebow.

But would not Tebow be an improvement over the starter in place of Miami, Matt Moore? Tebow had a 7-4 record as starter Denver Broncos and led to a victory in the first round of the playoffs, but his statistics were quite fragile, he completed only 46.5% of his passes for 1,729 yards with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Meanwhile, Moore actually had a very good year for the Dolphins last season, going 6-6 as input and completing 60.5% of his passes for 2,497 yards with 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

But Moore is apparently not considered fourth franchise - and Tebow has a huge legion of fans who believe it is.

Thus, while Peyton Manning saga may be over, things will not get boring in the NFL for now.

49ers Turn Out The Lights On Ben Roethlisberger And The Steelers

SAN FRANCISCO - Monday Night Football almost became Fiasco Friday Night.

San - Francisco-clear to return to prime-time help to save what could be embarrassing night for all participants in the NFL on the big stage after a couple of power outages delay of game for almost 35 minutes in all.

49ers rode their top-ranked run defense again to beat Ben Roethlisberger patient advocate and 20-3 Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.

Vernon Davis caught one-yard touchdown pass for 49ers (11-3) one game after setting himself up with a 21-yard reception from Alex Smith, Frank Gore ran for the 5-yard score, and David Akers kicked field goals 22 and 38 yards, to catch up with Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for a single season scoring record in San Francisco.

Steelers (10-4) missed a key opportunity to take sole possession of first place in the AFC North and get the number of AFC playoff 1 seed.

"I think we showed the world we can play the game of football on the national stage," Davis said. "At the end of the day is what it is all about. Respect"

Roethlisberger, playing on the left ankle sprain that Big Ben in walking boot for a week, threw two interceptions early, and another in the waning minutes.

Even all those terrible Towel waving Steelers supporters could not have their team will be when a unique home-field advantage in San Francisco were two delays blackout.

San - Francisco became the first team in NFL history to hold the enemy, not rushing touchdown in each of the first 14 games.

Roethlisberger completed 25 still at 44 to 330 yards but was sacked three times. After his second choice, he was indignant, as he limped off the field and could be seen screaming at his chin strap.

49ers have made a big statement in their most important home game since their last trip to the playoffs in January 2003, when San Francisco came from behind to stun New York Giants 39-38 in one of the greatest returns in NFL history.

They had to wait 20 minutes to start working after the power went out for the first time. It does not seem to bother San Francisco.

Smith was fired after shot 18 times in the previous three games, including nine in the Niners "prime time flop in Baltimore on Thanksgiving night against the older brother Jim Harbaugh, John.

Jim Harbaugh ready for the Steelers by comparing notes with his brother after the Ravens won both meetings this season with Pittsburgh in one of the fiercest rivalries AFC.

37-year-old Akers, who had long admired from afar Rice grew up in Kentucky, Rice topped 138 points scored in 1987.

Nevertheless, Akers said that he does not feel deserving of a point on a large sign, such as Rice - who clowned around on the field before the game catching passes from fellow Hall of Famer and former QB Steve Young, including one in the end zone.

It was after the second goal box Acres "when all went dark for a second time. Thousands of flash off in the midst of black, with a sellout crowd of 69,732 sat in the dark - including all those Steelers fans who travel the country with his team.

NFL security chief Jeff Miller said that he was a witness to the transformer to blow up when he was monitoring the gate outside the stadium, where the shooting during the preseason has already put a negative light on this place.

Second delay came at the beginning of the second quarter and stopped the game again between playoff-bound team for about 15 minutes. Miller and other officials gathered in the NFL press box, to assess the situation, staying in constant touch with the office of Commissioner.

It was the 49ers "only game Monday night in the season and their final regular season home game at Candlestick Park. NFL will definitely want to make sure there are no problems, when San Francisco hosts a home playoff game next month, as the NFC West Champions League - and Miller said he remains confident Candlestick can expertly host playoff games.

Steelers linebacker James Harrison missed, who was serving a game suspension for a helmet mask of a blow to the Browns quarterback Colt McCoy on December 8.

It was the fourth time in the history of football on Monday night that the two teams faced off with 10 victories and winning percentage of at least .750 - San Francisco and played in all of them, last December 15, 1997, against 12.2 11-3 49ers Broncos .
